    Description
    GENERAL WORK DESCRIPTION:
    This project involves complete repairs / restauration to the stone masonry in the walls of the West Branch Ditch.  That include Furnishing of all labour, materials, tools, equipment, power plant, systems, transportation and supervision necessary to completely perform the work.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a tour of the work site. The site OPTIONAL visit will be held on Friday May 9, 2014, at 10:30 am (EDT) at 1 Fort Henry Drive, Kingston, Ontario (Fort Henry National Historic Site of Canada.  Bidders shall park in the main parking lot at the top of the hill and walk ditch bridge near west entrance of Fort Henry.  Site Visit will start promptly at 10:30 am (EDT) at the West entrance to Fort Henry.  Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority two (2)  days before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
    
    MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
    Where there are changes to the Contractor’s capacity to meet the mandatory requirements of this Supply Arrangement, the Contractor  must notify PC and resubmit their proposal indicating new capacity (eg. changes to key team site supervisors and masonry foreman). 
     
    M1:	The masonry contractor must have five (5) masonry projects over $100,000+HST in last five (5) years on designated heritage assets (municipally, provincially or federally designated). Provide list of projects with proposal, including the structure, the structure’s designation, dollar value of masonry component, general contractor, owner and designer/consultant.
    
    M2:	The masonry contractor must have four (4) projects in last ten (10) years that the masonry contractor acted as the General Contractor.  These overall projects must have a value greater than $50,000. Provide list of projects, dollar value and list of trades.
    
    M3:	The masonry foreman must be a mason with have at least five (5) years experience in leading masonry projects and a minimum of two (2) historic masonry projects.  Submit a list of your masonsy foremen you will use for Parks Canada projects along with their education, credentials and experience.
    
    M4:	Provide a list of References from Owners of two (2) projects listed in M1 and one (1) project listed in M2.  These references must answer yes to the following. 
    
    Questions:
    1.	Were you satisfied with the masonry workmanship ?
    2.	Was work completed on time and budget ?
    3.	Would you hire this firm to do masonry work again ?
