Description of the requirement:

Statistics Canada needs to manage its statistical information holdings in a more systematic way.  The development of Data Service Centres (DSC) enables key statistical information to be identified and made available for use within the corporation.  Developing DSCs is fundamental to improving the management of the agency’s key statistical files. Two key components of the DSC are the Discovery Layer and the Data Access Layer.

Statistics Canada has a requirement for one (1) Level 3 IM Architect to lead the initiative to further develop the business information requirements and information architecture for the DSC.

The tasks to be provided may include but are not limited to:
•	Produce work plan
•	Report on project progress
•	Conduct elicitation activities
•	Produce current state Information Life Cycle supporting the service delivery model
•	Produce weaknesses and opportunities for improvement report
•	Align existing business information requirements with the outcome of the produced weaknesses and opportunities for improvement report
•	Conduct a future state information service delivery model option analysis
•	Produce future state conceptual Information Architecture
•	Produce future state Information Life Cycle supporting the future state service delivery model
•	Produce information requirements for solution
•	Propose a transformation plan
•	Present the information analysis finding
•	Package the information analysis findings


Proposed period of contract:

The proposed period of the contract will be from Contract Award to November 7, 2014, with one (1) one-year option period.
