    Description of the requirement:
    
    Industry Canada requires the services of a Programmer Analyst – Level 3 to address the increased demand by Industry Canada’s business areas for application scripting and deployment packaging services.  
    
    The roles and responsibility will include: 
    o	Develop installation scripts using MS Visual Studio for the automated installation and deployment of line of business desktop components, desktop productivity tools and/or desktop utilities, adhering to Industry Canada packaging standards and processes.  Note that, each application script developed may require an “installation”, “repair”, and “uninstall” capability.
    o	Provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders with regards to the IC standard scripting tool (MS Visual Studio), standards and processes.
    o	Prepare technical configuration documentation related to software products scripted and packaged.  This may include minimum Configuration Recommendations (HW and SW), Technical Configuration details (ie:  identify key configuration items, default settings, setting alternatives, recommended settings and justifications for recommendations).
    o	Work with IT Security to contribute to security related products and configurations, as required.
    o	Prepare Rollout strategies for software components, addressing both migration and ongoing operations (strategies for various components must be aligned / integrated).
    o	Produce software “Prototype Packages” including draft Technical Installation Guides, Software Prototypes, Installation strategies and Rollout Prerequisites.
    o	Develop Quality Assurance Test Plans / Scripts to validate that engineering meets user requirements and technical configuration standards.  Conduct engineering testing, and produce engineering test reports.
    o	Where appropriate, design, document and test Backout/Rollback Processes and software.
    o	Produce final “Production Packages”, including Technical Installation Guides & Software Packages (installation and deployment).  All instructions must be tested and validated.
    o	Prepare Technical Support documentation, including FAQ’s and Knowledge Base material.
    o	Contribute to software product Technical and End User communiques.
    o	Produce regular product status reports.
    o	Complete other related duties, as required.
    
    Initial Contract Period:  Contract award to March 31, 2016.  
    Option Year Period 1:  April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017.
