Description
PURPOSE OF THIS ADVANCE PROCUREMENT NOTICE This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested consultants and sub-consultants, contractors and sub-contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT This project requires the design and construction of a health care services centre located at Cold Lake, Alberta, of approximately 4,950m2 in area. The facilities will be built to meet the Silver LEED standard. The estimated value for this project is $27,000,000. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES The design build contractor will be required to design and build the facilities, including all site work and commissioning. It is anticipated that this procurement will be initiated in the late spring of 2015. This is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed by the DND. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS Consultants, Subconsultants, Contractors and Subcontractors will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS) at the level of RELIABILITY, issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). Consultants, Subconsultants, Contractors and sub-contractors staff will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS) at the level of RELIABILITY STATUS issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). PROCESS Consultants, Subconsultants, Contractors and Subcontractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a bid for this procurement can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html. Consultants, Subconsultants, Contractors and Subcontractors are asked to submit their request prior to May 11, 2015 quoting the following information: - Contract number IE0652MD; and - Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
