    Description
    The National Capital Commission (NCC) is seeking bids from qualified firms for the replacement of the pedestrian bridge and the construction of the approach trails at the Gatineau Park Visitor’s Centre in Chelsea, QC.  
    
    Summary of the Work
    The scope of work to construct new bridge abutments, supply and install a pre-fabricated steel pedestrian bridge, and related work is intended to serve as a guide it includes, but is not limited to, the following: .
    •	Excavation
    •	Construction of footing
    •	Construction of abutment walls/cleats
    •	Construction of wingwalls
    •	Backfill
    •	Supply and placement of pre-fabricated pedestrian bridge including pedestrian railing, handrail, and steel decking
    •	Grade pathway at approaches
    •	Placement of asphalt on south approach
    •	Supply and placement of steel pedestrian rail/handrail at approaches
    •	Top soil and seed
    •	Other related work
    
    A NON MANDATORY site visit will be held on Monday May 11, 2015 at 10 am Ottawa time. The meeting place will be at Gatineau Park Visitor’s Centre parking area located at 33 Scott Rd in Chelsea, QC.
    
    All costs incurred by the Bidder to attend the site visit will be at their expense. The NCC will not reimburse any Bidder for expenses related to the site visit.

Bid closing date is May 21, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Ottawa time. Late or faxed bids will not be accepted.
    
    All enquiries and other communications related to this tender sent throughout the solicitation period are to be directed ONLY to the Sr. Contract Officer named above. Non-compliance with this requirement during the solicitation period can, for that reason alone, result in disqualification of a tender.
    
    There is a public opening scheduled shortly after the bid closing time in room 306 at 40 Elgin Street, 3rd floor, Ottawa, ON.
    
    The procurement process of this tender is subject to Chapter 5 on the Agreement on Internal Trade.
