    Description
    Lake Louise, Yoho, Kootenay Field Unit requires a construction contractor to remove solids from the Aerated Sludge Holding Pond located at the Lake Louise Wastewater Treatment Plant as well as to clean and rehabilitate the aeration system within the pond.  The pond accepts wastewater sludge and the septage from wastewater systems and vault toilets.  The work includes solids removal, dewatering, temporary onsite storage or processing, transportation, and environmentally acceptable disposal of the dewatered sludge cake, plus the cleaning and rehabilitation of the aeration system. Project timelines include progress completion dates as follows: 1) remove solids from pond and dispose of at a registered landfill location (or similar Environmentally acceptable facility) outside the National Parks before June 30, 2015; 
    2)  clean and rehabilitate the aeration system within the pond before June 30, 2015
    This project is to be complete by July 20, 2015.
    
    The period of the contract is from contract award to July 20, 2015.
    An optional site visit will take place on May 12, 2015. Bidders are to meet at the Lake Louise Visitor Reception Centre at 11:00 am MDT. 
    The site visit for this project is strongly recommended. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
    
    Closing date for tender submissions is May 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm MDT. Late submissions will not be considered.

Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk.
