Description of Work: SCOPE OF WORK AND TASKS TO BE PERFORMED The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) requires a senior Business Continuity Consultant to lead a team to develop a full function non-nuclear exercise that will require the activation of the CNSC EOC(s) and the CNSC BCP alternate site and restoration of critical services. The exercise will assess the CNSC’s EOC, EMBCP recovery strategy, plans, and designated staffs ability to function in an alternate facility. The exercise should enable the CNSC key stakeholder to understand their role and responsibilities in response to a dual event (nuclear & non-nuclear). In addition, identify gaps in technology, plans, and procedures. The tasks to be performed are: • Validate functional exercise scope and objectives with CNSC design team. • Work with the CNSC design team to develop the exercise problem set (injects, timeline, and associated material). • Work with CNSC design team to action required arrangements with building owners and PWGSC. • Work with the CNSC design team to develop evaluator and observer team criteria, guides and forms. • Facilitate a practice (walk-thru) exercise with CNSC design, evaluator and observer teams. • On the day(s) of the event, manage the coordination and pace of the functional exercise and facilitate a hot-wash following the exercise. • Develop lessons learned and recommendation report and a PowerPoint presentation.
