    Description
    This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada has a requirement to maintain and repair all elevators, dumbwaiters, material lifts and handicap lifts within the institutions of the Pacific region.
    The Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations part IV Elevating devices require that every elevating device and every safety device be maintained by elevator personnel in accordance with the applicable Canadian Safety Association (CSA) standards for elevating devices. 
    
    Trade agreement:	  Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT), World Trade Organisation-Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)/Canada-Peru, Canada-Colombia and/or Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreements. 
    
    Tendering procedures:  This requirement prescribes the minimum requirements that only bids from contractors whose name is on the applicable List of Pre-qualified Elevator Maintenance Contractors for the province of British Columbia where the work is performed, for the type of equipment listed herein will be considered for this solicitation. 
    
    Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid, 
    
    Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business: 
    This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers.
    
    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: 
    This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.
    
    Security Requirements: This contract includes site security requirements.
    
    Nature of Requirements: 
    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. 
    
    Regional Elevator Maintenance.
    
    Objectives:  Monthly/Quarterly  maintenance that maintains the equipment at original performance to the factory specifications within the CSA standards. 
    
    Deliverables:  
    The Contractor to furnish all necessary tools, equipment, materials and labour in the provision of maintenance testing, adjustments, repairs, preventive maintenance services and software updates on a monthly/quarterly basis.
    
    Expected Delivery Date: 2015-09-01 to 2019-03-31 with two (2) one (1) year option years.

    After contract award, bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation process. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within fifteen (15) working days of receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
