    Description
    In accordance with the rules, regulations, statutes, guidelines and the professional associations of the provinces where the project will be carried out, Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is calling for Abbreviated Proposals from Designated Substance Assessment & Monitoring consulting firms to provide the following professional services: 
    •	Comprehensive Hazardous Material (Hazmat) Assessments;
    •	Designated Substance Survey/Hazmat Risk Assessments and work classification determination;
    •	Designated Substance Survey/Hazmat Inventories;
    •	Recommendations, professional advice and mitigation measures to manage identified Designated Substance Survey/Hazmat (health and safety procedures for workers and other personnel; removal/abatement, disposal);
    •	Cost estimates to implement the mitigation measures;
    •	Preparation of specifications and drawings to remove and/or dispose the Designated Substance Survey/Hazmat and associated mitigation measures including conducting site inspections/confirmation service and analysis before, during and after Designated Substance Survey/Hazmat abatement, and
    •	Preparation of Designated Substances Reports, notice of project and description of procedures as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act of the province the project is located in.
    
    Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the Request for Abbreviated Proposals.  The criteria relate to previous achievements and experience, as well as technical and managerial expertise.  The objective of this Request for Abbreviated Proposals is to select the top three (3) ranked firms, who will be placed on the Source List.
    
    This opportunity follows procurement procedures in accordance with Chapter 10 of NAFTA.
