    Description

    SCOPE OF WORK / DELIVERABLES:

    The scope of work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for the construction of two (2) equipment shelters, at Lumsden and Campbellton, NL. The project is to be completed in strict accordance with the specification and accompanying drawings, and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.

    In general, work under this contract consists of, but will not necessary be limited to, the following:

    1. The work covered under this Contract consists of construction of two (2) 3.7m x 9.75 m

      wood frame equipment shelters as per these specifications and drawings;

    2. The supply and installation of all mechanical and electrical equipment/systems, as

      indicated on the contract drawings and more particularly, specified herein;

    3. The supply and installation of foundations as indicated on the contract drawings;
    4. Site preparation, including site grading; services, etc. as indicated on the contract

    drawings;

    Lumsden and Campbellton, NL

    FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE:

    Before submitting a bid, bidders can visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense, to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure, and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies, and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.

    A non-mandatory site visit will be scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2016, 2:00 p.m.

    Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 013530 – “Health and Safety Requirements” before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
