    Description

    DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

    Stabilize the remaining section of the former wharf approach to prevent further erosion and continue to provide safe visitor access to the area.

    Existing trail in proximity of Wharf will be repaired and extended to blend two existing trails into one continuous trail starting at the corner of the “board walk trail” and extending through the Fort Anne site, tying in again near Statue of De Mons.

    Current maintenance shed is in disrepair and to be demolished and replaced with new maintenance storage/garage, to be located just below and adjacent to existing shed.

    Bid security is required.

    Contractors must have $5,000,000.00 Liability Insurance Coverage and a Builder’s risk insurance.

    CLOSING DATE AND TIME:

    Oct 4, 2016 at 1400 hrs (EDT)

    Faxed submission will NOT be accepted. Only revisions will be accepted by fax.

    SITE VISIT:

    There will be a mandatory site visit on Tuesday Sept 27, 2016 at 10:30 am. (EDT). Interested bidders are to meet at the Fort Anne, National Historic Sites, Soutwest Nova Scotia, PO Box 9, 295 St.George Street.

    The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be accepted.

    NOTE TO POTENTIAL BIDDERS:

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
    Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and Contract Documents.

    DELIVERY DATE:

    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work by March 31, 2017 from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
