    Description

    The National Capital Commission (NCC) has a requirement to replace its current wireless infrastructure with a secure Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system at the NCC Headquarters located at 40 Elgin St, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. 

    The NCC is seeking proposals from experienced firms to provide a robust, high-performance, enterprise-grade WLAN to address current and future needs. 

    OBJECTIVE:

    The NCC seeks to:

    1. enable mobility and innovation in the workforce for NCC owned devices;
    2. facilitate the future implementation and set the foundation for a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy;
    3. replace existing end-of-life wireless equipment;
    4. keep pace with changing technologies;
    5. facilitate Disaster Recovery operations in the event of a crisis;
    6. contribute to the reduction of paper consumption and associated waste as per the Ontario proposed Bill 91, the Waste Reduction Act.

    DURATION OF WORK : This project must be completed on or before March 31, 2017.

    SITE VISIT : Attendance to one (1) site visit is MANDATORY. The site visits are scheduled for December 8 and 13, 2016 at 10:00am, Ottawa time. The meeting place is at 40 Elgin Street on the main (1st) floor opposite the elevators.
