Letter of Interest to verify the possibility of awarding a contract for the purchase of a mobile shelving system from Aboriginal Enterprises PSAB
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is looking for an Aboriginal PSAB suppliers for the purchase and installation of an important, high-density mobile shelving system.
Project estimated Value: between $ 150,000 and $ 250,000 (including floor reinforcement costs)
Installation will be made in RCMP facilities located in Montreal H3Z 1V5.
The system must have the capacity to contain approximately 3000 archival boxes dimension of: 10 "H x 13" W x 16 "D and 30 lbs weight each. The content is estimated at a weight of 100 lbs / ft ca.

The floor will be reinforced at the expense of the RCMP if required. An engineering report on the supporting capacity of the floor must be provided to the supplier prior to installation of the mobile shelving system.
CONSTRAINTS:
Delivery :
The supplier must certify that all parts of the mobile shelving system will be delivered and invoiced BEFORE 31 March 2017 or the available budget will be cut and order will need to be canceled.
Security Requirements:
Installers must meet the following Security Requirements: Access to RCMP facilities - Level 2 - Escorted BEFORE the system installation date.
Installation:
If possible, the installation will take place before March 31, 2017, but it could also take place after April 1, 2016 if necessary.
Delays:
Additional delays may report the installation of the mobile shelving system. These delays could be caused by:
- The relocation of everyting stock in the archives room.
à All boxes must be sealed before they can be moved. The room must be completely emptied of everything it contains, boxes and shelves.
- If floor reinforcement work is required, a new engineering report will be required to confirm the entire floor support ability.
- The process of Security Investigation of installers.
Storage :
If the installation takes place after April 1, 2017, an optional storage period is anticipated. The RCMP will pay the supplier for the additional storage fees and for extra delivery costs if the optional storage is required. We estimated the optional storage requirements to 3 months
Inspection and Acceptance:
The contracting authority and / or project authority should be able to inspect the stored material to confirm the complete delivery of equipment purchased before March 31, 2016.
Invoicing:
- Initial: Costs of purchase and delivery of equipment received or stored before March 31, 2017
- Monthly for optional storage
- Final including the 2nd optional delivery to the installation site and installation costs.
Posting period
A competitive PSAB posting period of 10 days is planned.
