UPDATE

Following the publication of a Request for Information (RFI) in August 2016, Elections Canada (EC) business owners of the Integrated Resource Planning Model (IRPM) project requested additional information by way of presentations by supplier of solutions currently available on the market. The objective of the request for presentations was to learn about current business practices and features of existing solutions and to better define EC's requirements.

EC successfully conducted its first Supplier Engagement Day (SED) in October 2016. The two-day event (October 5 and 7) was attended by six suppliers - FreeBalance Inc., Infosys Public Services Inc., Oracle Canada ULC, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Scytl Canada, and The Createch Group.

A second SED was completed on November 16, 2016 with two suppliers - Ceridian and Computer Sciences Canada.

Each supplier was allocated one hour and was asked to follow a structured format:

• Introductions (5 minutes)
• Review purpose, format, and conduct of sessions (5 minutes)
• Overview of product/solution and corporate capability (15 minutes)
• Product demonstration and response to EC areas of interest (35 minutes)

Suppliers were provided with reference materials which included scenarios reflective of EC's workflows before the sessions.

As the sessions did not include a question period, follow-on questions from EC attendees were compiled, consolidated, and sent to the participating suppliers on December 9, 2016. Clarifications to the follow-on questions were then sent on December 23, 2016.

EC is currently reviewing suppliers' responses to the follow-on questions and expects to proceed with the procurement strategy in the coming months.
