Title: Firewood

Requirement:

Parks Canada has a requirement for the provision of firewood to various locations on an “as and when requested” basis, for Glacier National Park and Mount Revelstoke National Park in British Columbia, Canada.

The Standing Offer Holder will be asked to provide the firewood within 24 hours of call-up to the sites indicated by the Project Authority or his designate.

Delivery Locations:

Glacier National Park: Loop Brook and Illecillewaet campgrounds, and the Rogers Pass Discovery Centre Mount Revelstoke National Park: the one Mile Compound and Monashee picnic area.

The Standing Offer will for a two operating season period with the option to extend for three more operating season periods, from 1 May to 15 October every year.

Enquiries:

All enquiries of a technical and contractual nature must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Authority as early as possible within the solicitation period.

Enquiries should be received no later than fifteen (15) calendar days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may not be answered.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).

This Parks Canada office provides procurement services to the public in English.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
