Description

To provide web-based information such as maps and postal code to electoral district information to electors, political parties and candidates.

Co-owned and maintained jointly by Elections Canada and Statistics Canada, the National Geographic Database (NGD) contains road network, municipal boundaries, water features and other physical features necessary to support election mapping and geocoding of electors for the National Register of Electors. The database is also used by Statistics Canada to support the census and its statistical program.
