    DCC – RFP for Facilities Maintenance and Support Services for various locations in the North: Churchill (MB), Inuvik (NT), Yellowknife (NT), Iqaluit (NU), Rankin Inlet (NU), Whitehorse (YT)

    Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is calling for Request for Proposals (RFP)for Facilities Maintenance firms to provide proposals to carry out the required Facilities Maintenance Services for buildings and associated areas for various locations in the North: Churchill (MB), Inuvik (NT), Yellowknife (NT), Iqaluit (NU), Rankin Inlet (NU), Whitehorse (YT).

    This Facility Maintenance and Support Services Contract requires the Contractor to be responsible for the Maintenance and Support Services of all identified buildings, land areas and their associated infrastructure within the defined property limits that will ensure compliance with all regulations, standards and codes and to a standard that will not cause the buildings to deteriorate beyond normal wear and tear throughout the contract term.

    The Contractor will be required to provide Facilities Maintenance and Support Services over the next five (5) years. The required services will be for 80 buildings with an approximate total gross floor area of 45,664 m2. The Contractor may also be required to provide Demand Services arranged under Additional Work Requests for any buildings located on the Site.

    If mutually agreeable between the Contractor and DCC, the contract may be extended up to one (1) additional three (3) year period followed by an additional extension of a two (2) year period, for a possible total of 10 years.

    Information provided by the Proponents will be evaluated using the established criteria in the Request for Proposals.

    The estimated contract value over a 5 year period is in the order of $78,500,000 including the Prime Cost Allowances.

    This procurement includes provisions for aboriginal benefits pursuant to the small and minority business set-aside provisions of the relevant trade agreements.
