Requirement:

The work described by this specification involves janitorial services for the Gwaii Haanas Field Unit’s Administration Office located at the Haida Heritage Centre, 60 Second Beach Road, Skidegate, BC and the Maintenance Compound located at 1325 Oceanview Drive, Queen Charlotte, BC.

Enquiries:

All enquiries of a technical and contractual nature must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Authority as early as possible within the solicitation period.

Enquiries should be received no later than four (4) calendar days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may not be answered.

Optional Site Visit:

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at the Gwaii Haanas Administration Building located at 60 Second Beach Road, Skidegate, BC, V0T 1S1 on Tuesday, January 23, 2014. The site visit will begin at 1:00PM PST.

Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than one (1) day before the scheduled site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend.

Project Timeline:

The period of the Contract is from contract award to January 31, 2019 inclusive.

Option Periods:

Canada has the option to extend the term of the Contract by up to three (3) additional one (1) year period(s) under the same conditions.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Late submissions will not be considered.

The requirement is not subject to the provisions of any of the trade agreements.

This PCA office provides procurement services to the public in English.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
