Defence Construction Canada – Request for Proposals for Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) – Design and Construction Services – Royal Canadian Dragoons (RCD) Facilities, Garrison Petawawa, ON (HQ0242BA)
 
In accordance with the rules, regulations, statutes, guidelines and the professional associations of the provinces where the project will be carried out, Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is calling for Proposals from Consultant and Contractor integrated teams to provide the services required as per the contract.
 
The Royal Canadian Dragoons (RCD) is an armoured reconnaissance regiment, located at Petawawa, Ontario. The RCD occupies over ten facilities at Garrison Petawawa, the majority of which are over 50 years old and in poor condition.
 
The existing infrastructure is ill suited to support the requirements of the RCD and is spread over several buildings outside the main compound. The dispersion of the unit leads to a constant drain on time and resources. This project proposes to provide consolidated, purpose-built operational training and vehicle facilities to allow the RCD to effectively fulfill their role.
 
The objective of the project is to construct a new facility with an approximate gross infrastructure requirement of 9,893 m2 and renovate approximately 1,837 m2 of existing infrastructure. In addition to the new construction and renovations, the project also includes the deconstruction of 8 buildings.

Proposals will be evaluated using the established criteria in the RFP. The objective of this RFP is to select the proponent with the highest total score.
 
This opportunity follows procurement procedures in accordance with Chapter 10 of NAFTA.
 
The Security Requirements for this project are identified in the RFP Document.
 
The estimated construction budget for this project is in the order of magnitude of $52,000,000.
