    This requirement is open only to those TSPS Supply Arrangement Holders who qualified under Tier 1 for services in the National Capital Region for the following categories:

    • Stream 2, Business Consultant / Change Management Services

    Requirement

    The purpose of this work is to characterize plastic production, use and management in Canada and identify the potential benefits, impacts, challenges and opportunities from transitioning to a zero plastics waste economy. The specific objectives are:

    • To characterize the production, flows and fate of materials and products containing plastics in Canada.
    • To estimate the value of plastics waste in Canada and the costs and benefits of end-of-life treatment options.
    • To develop an economic profile and competitive analysis of the plastics industry and markets in Canada, including emerging solutions and technologies related to reducing plastics waste and leakage into the environment.
    • To analyze the measures for supporting growth of the secondary plastics market.
