    Description

    Description of Work:

    Work covered by this contract consists of replacing culvert S3-1420. The works included in this project include, but are not limited to, the following:

    .1 Deforesting;

    .2 Demolition of existing structures;

    .3 1st and 2nd class excavation;

    .4 Removal and off-site disposal of the existing culvert and waste material;

    .5 Supply and installation of the new prefab culvert, including parts, retaining walls, curbs, cutoff walls and end accessories;

    .6 Backfill of excavations, including transitions and borrow materials;

    .7 Cleaning of existing ditches, where required;

    .8 Reshaping of ditches, where required;

    .9 Riprap and geotextile;

    .10 Complete reconstruction of the path’s structure and reshaping of a section;

    .11 Temporary shoring;

    .12 Protection of public utilities;

    .13 Environmental protection structures;

    .14 Temporary signage and traffic maintenance protection elements;

    .15 Rehabilitation of the site.

    All works mentioned in this Contract shall include the supply of materials and accessories, equipment, tools, labour and transportation.

    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

    1. There will be an optional site visit on May 30th, 2018 at 1:00 PM local time. Interested bidders are to meet at St-Jean-des-Piles Welcome Area.

    2. Safety Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending the site visit have the proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, footwear, vests and hard hats etc.). Contractor’s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site.

       

    Construction Time:

    The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by August 15, 2018.

Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond.

    This PCA office provides procurement services to the public in either official language of Canada.
    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
    Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
