TASK Based Professional Services (TSPS) Requirement

The objective of the project is to provide Transport Canada’s Transportation and Economic Analysis Directorate (TEA) with benchmark short- and long-run transportation forecasts by commodity type and sub-provincial geography that is generated by an operational forecasting model to be integrated into TEA’s in-house forecasting activities.

In addition, TEA is seeking a forecasting tool that allows TEA staff to conduct sensitivity analysis on key macroeconomic variables and assess forecast scenarios driven by changes in assumptions for volume, modal assignment and movement of commodities. The objective is to augment forecasting tools within TEA that allows for timely internal analysis by staff using a comprehensive macroeconomic tool.
