    This requirement is for: The Correctional Service Canada (CSC), Health Services requires an Institutional Dentist for Millhaven, Bath and Warkworth Institutions, as well as the Joyceville Complex Institutions in the Ontario Region. 

    Trade agreement: This procurement is not subject to any trade agreement.

    Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.

    Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid

    Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers.

    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement:

    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide every inmate with essential health care and reasonable access to non-essential mental health care including dental services. All dental equipment and supplies are provided by the Institution.

    Objectives: The Contractor must provide primary dental care, including x-rays and health promotion, to inmates that complies with relevant federal legislation, provincial standards and CSC policies and guidelines.

    Dental services must be provided to inmates in collaboration with the institutions’ multi-disciplinary health

    services teams that includes but is not limited to, Nurses, Institutional Physicians, Psychologists,

    Dietitians and other allied health professionals.

    Deliverables:

    Provide up to 1729 hours of service over 52 weeks at Warkworth, Bath, Millhaven and Joyceville Institutions.

    Proposed Dentist must provide their own Dental Assistant.

    The work will be performed and delivered in English.

    Term of Contract:

    Period of the Contract: The Work is to be performed during the period of 01 December 2018 to 30 November 2019 with the option to renew for three (3) additional one-year periods.

The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
