Mechanical Pumping Vacuum System Repair/Retrofit

The National Research Council Canada (Aerospace Manufacturing Technology Center), located in Montreal, has a requirement to repair/retrofit a mechanical pumping vacuum system manufactured for Sciaky Model VX.3-68x68x84 Electron Beam Welding and Additive Manufacturing Equipment to address a failing legacy stoke pump. The contractor will be expected to disconnect existing pumps and interfaces, install a replacement pump and calibrate the system. The contractor will be responsible for providing a retrofit kit, upgrade the associated electrical and mechanical interfaces and reload the software. The contractor will update and provide the pertinent (mechanical and electrical) drawings and documentation for all modifications to electron beam welding and additive manufacturing equipment.

Criteria for assessment of the Statement of Capabilities (minimal essential requirements)

- The proposed solution must be equivalent to the solution being offered from Sciaky (compatible/interchangeable with Sciaky Model VX.3-68x68x84.) i.e.: Leybold Model WSU10001/SV630B pump package.

- Must have certification and factory training to operate and repair Sciaky welding systems.
