Request for Quotation - Services for High Throughput Sequencing of Soil and Plant DNA and/or RNA Extracts, AAFC, Swift Current Research and Development Centre

REQUIREMENT:

The Soil Microbial Ecology research group, Swift Current, Saskatchewan requires a Contractor to provide high throughput sequencing to conduct amplicon metagenomic sequencing and shotgun metagenomic and metatranscriptomic sequencing from environmental (e.g., soil and plant tissues) samples. Sequencing will be required on an "as and when requested" basis. The Contractor will be required to provide the labour, equipment, supplies and lab space necessary to conduct library preparation and sequencing on extracted DNA and/or RNA samples provided by AAFC. 

The services required are detailed in Appendix B herein. It is a requirement that bidders must have the capability to conduct all three types of sequencing (amplicon metagenomic, shotgun metagenomic and metatranscriptomic) and have the equipment types to carry out the work. AAFC anticipates awarding a Task Authorization based contract for One (1) year from the Date of Award, with an Option to Extend, for up to three (3) additional, one (1) year options.
