The AIM Group IncDescription of Work:

Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) is currently integrating into a common environment, various computers, sensors, data storage and communication devices operating in various security domains. These devices are either used to operate a System Integration Lab or to develop roll-on/roll-off airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) support systems.

The System Administrator will perform tasks as follows:

- Install, monitor, upgrade and maintain operating systems and suite of software applications

-Install, monitor, upgrade and maintain hardware and software including video distribution and recording systems, OS virtualisation solutions, Voice over IP and chat applications, data storage, military sensors and communication tools

- Work with engineers, scientists, technicians, and clients/stakeholders to maintain and improve software/systems performance

-Apply problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems

-Ensure timely and reliable application of system administration procedures, such as backup / recovery, antivirus updates / media scrubbers maintenance

- Analyze systems performance and recommend improvements applicable to airborne prototypes, static and mobile lab infrastructures

- Provide support for the selection, procurement specifications, setup, maintenance, operation & training for information technology systems and related technologies

-Provide system administration Subject Matter Expert advice and technical support for other computer related activities as agreed upon between the TA and the Contractor (e.g.: train end-users and newly involved stakeholders, provide technical documentation to networking stakeholders, provide technical/IT support to other team members, provide assistance with inventory tracking).

Anticipated starting date: 2019-11-04

Contract duration:

It is intended to result in the award of 1 contract for one-year, plus 2 one-year irrevocable options allowing Canada to extend the term of the contract.
