This requirement is open to the selected Suppliers currently holding TBIPS Supply Arrangement who qualified under Tier 1 for services in the Western Region for the following category:
·One (1) - B.10 Help Desk Specialist - Intermediate (Level 2)
The following SA Holders have been invited to submit a proposal:
Description of Work
- Background:
Indian Residential Schools Adjudication Secretariat (IRSAS), Regina of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Development of Canada (CIRNAC) manages and supports user Information Technology (IT) equipment, through an ITIL Helpdesk model (Remedy System) which is managed by the National Service Desk of ISC for ISC and CIRNAC.
- Objective(s):
The objective of the requested IT service is to provide IRSAS Regina, Sk with the appropriate resource to support IRSAS Regina internal business operations for the help desk (second level support— per CIRNAC "Full Service Support Model" described in the IT Operating environment above)
- IT Operating Environment
- The computer operations environment provides personnel with reliable access to information resources, computer hardware and end user support. Full support services are required during core business hours. The IRSAS Regina for CIRNAC in Regina, SK has approximately 100 PC users.
- Workstations include Tier 1 systems, such as Lenovo, HP, Dell systems running Microsoft Windows 7 under a secured managed environment. The laptops are Lenovo, Dell, and/or HP hardware. Approximately one tenth of desktops and laptops are normally replaced annually. All desktops and laptops carry a minimum 3-year manufacturer's warranty support service.
- In the regional operating environments, helpdesk support requires knowledgeable resources to understand the technical environment to include network supports (communication to HQ technical support and onsite expertise). Upcoming changes include moving from Microsoft Windows 7 to Windows 10 and CIDM to GCDOCS. IRSAS Regina employs a "Full Service Support Model" where all IT requests are made to the National Service Desk and then assigned to a local on-site technician for trouble-shooting and resolution.
As a result, CIRNAC requires 1 Help Desk Specialist – Level 2.
