Disposal of Contaminated Items

The Department of National Defence has a requirement for the disposal of 2 Tritium and PCB contaminated Van De Graaf accessory Transformers and 23 Tritium and PCB contaminated Van De Graaf accessory pumps in Ottawa, Ontario.

It is DND’s intention to award a single contract for this requirement.

Bidders are to refer to the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the detailed requirement.

MANDATORY CRITERIA (MC)

The Bidder must adequately demonstrate in its proposal that:

MT1: They possess a proper Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) licence for transport, storage and disposal of radiological waste containing Tritium (Hydrogen-3). Licence must be valid for the duration of the Contract.

The basis of selection shall be the compliant Bidder that offers the lowest-cost compliant proposal.

For services requirements, Bidders must provide the required information as detailed in article 2.3 of Part 2 of the bid solicitation, in order to comply with Treasury Board policies and directives on contracts awarded to former public servants.

The Crown retains the rights to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.

DND reserves the right not to award a Contract, regardless of the proposals received.

Where this notice and the RFP differ, the RFP shall prevail.
