    Description

    Summary

    Environment and Climate Change Canada has a need for services to carry out bacteriological studies of shellfish areas and aquaculture sites in order to evaluate the water quality so as to meet the CSSP Standards for the period of April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2023.

    This mandate relates to the Upper North Shore, Middle North Shore and Lower North Shore Regions. Forty-six (46) shellfish growing areas and two (2) aquaculture sites to be sampled. The description of shellfish sectors, the sampling frequency and the number of stations to sample are presented in Annex 1A and 1B. These sectors will be sampled from May to October. The localization of the stations to sample will be provided to the consultant following the signing of the contract.

    Period of the Contract

    The Work is to be performed during the period of April 1st, 2020 to March 31st, 2021.

    Option to Extend the Contract

    The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to 02 additional 01 year period under the same conditions. The Contractor agrees that, during the extended period of the Contract, it will be paid in accordance with the applicable provisions as set out in the Basis of Payment.

    Canada may exercise this option at any time by sending a written notice to the Contractor at least 30 calendar days before the expiry date of the Contract. The option may only be exercised by the Contracting Authority, and will be evidenced for administrative purposes only, through a contract amendment.
