Justice Canada Audit on Contribution Agreement

In order for JUS to support the delivery of its recipient contribution program and respect its obligations outlined in the Policy on Transfer Payments and the Directive on Transfer Payments professional audits are required, based on a risk-based plan, to ensure that the recipient of a contribution agreement has complied with the obligations outlined in the funding agreement, to ensure sound stewardship of public monies and the highest level of integrity, transparence and accountability.

The objective of the audits will be to determine whether the costs incurred by the recipients of Contribution Agreements from JUS were in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contribution agreements, to verify and report on the costs claimed and incurred, to identify those costs not eligible according to the financial terms and conditions of the agreements and determine if the recipient has an adequate internal control system to account and manage the contribution received
