Upscheek Tashee Paving – Pacific Rim National Park Reserve

Requirement:

The work primarily consists of construction services for paving the Upscheek Tashee, the new 25km multi-use pathway being constructed through the Park Reserve.

The trail is currently under construction through a contract awarded to Hazelwood Construction Services Inc. (HCSI). The work identified in this solicitation is for paving only. The successful contractor will be required to work under the prime contractor HCSI. The following conditions will apply:

1. The successful contractor will work under HCSI site specific safety plan.

2. The successful contractor must work with HCSI to coordinate schedule which will not be linear and allow for finished grading prior to asphalt placement.

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $1,000,001 > $ 5,000,000, Taxes extra.

Period of Contract:

The Contractor shall perform and complete all onsite Work by October 31, 2020

Enquiries regarding this bid must be submitted in writing and should be received no later than five (5) business days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer NOT being provided.

BIDS RECEIVED BY FAX AND EMAIL WILL BE ACCEPTED AS OFFICIAL.

BIDS RECEIVED IN-PERSON OR BY COURIER MAY NOT BE ACCEPTED.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
