Request for Proposals (RFP) – Interpretation Services

RFP Scope: 

The scope of interpretation services includes simultaneous (on location and virtually), consecutive and whispering. Service providers will be responsible for the provision of qualified interpreters that will work collaboratively with FCC from the time an engagement is booked through to service delivery. FCC may require a dedicated pool of individual resources to ensure consistency in messaging, accuracy, familiarity and comfort with FCC terminology.

Preference may be given to services providers offering to supply equipment and a sound technician. These services would be provided on location or virtually.

Recording capability is an asset. 

Preference will be given to service providers who have the capacity to provide interpretation services across Canada. 

The term of the contract will be 3 years plus two (2) one-year option years.

• RFP issue date: September 28, 2020 

• Vendor questions accepted until: October 7, 2020 at 2:00PM* 

• RFP closing date and time: October 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM *

Vendors should note that: 

• this opportunity notice references a non-binding, competitive RFP, not a call for tenders. FCC is not obligated to proceed with the work described in the RFP scope, and may cancel the RFP at any time. 

• FCC’s procurement process allows for negotiation between FCC and one or more vendors, prior to awarding a contract.
