    Regional Elevator Maintenance

    This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Pacific Region, at various Institutions in the Fraser Valley and Victoria BC.

    Trade agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), Canada free trade agreements with Chile/Colombia/Honduras/Panama, Canada-Peru Free Trade Agreement.

    Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.

    Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid.

    This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers.

    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement:

    This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to inspect, test, examine, maintain and repair all elevators, dumbwaiters, material lifts and handicap lifts within the Correctional Institutions of the Pacific Region in the Fraser Valley and Victoria BC.

    Objectives: The contractor must provide full coverage maintenance services that consist of scheduled maintenance at regular intervals and any and all repairs including materials. The work the Contractor must perform includes but is not limited to: tasks, procedures, examinations, tests and equipment breakdowns and repairs. The Contractor must complete all work in accordance with the Safety Standards Act - Elevating Devices Safety Regulation, manufacturer’s recommendations and the applicable CSA standards for elevating devices.

    Deliverables: The Contractor must provide all necessary tools, equipment, parts, materials and labour

    needed for repairs and mandatory maintenance requirements and tests including but not limited

    to: regular frequency inspections, periodic tests, adjustments, preventative maintenance services and

    annual examinations.
