Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is seeking proposals from bidders to quantify the safety outcomes of fuel-efficient highway driving, including crash reduction and crash severity, through the collection of data from Canadian class 8 long-haul trucks. This study will involve research, data collection, analysis, and a report of findings on any correlations between fuel efficiency and safety outcomes, paving the way to value-added communication for the SmartDriver for Highway Trucking program.
