ADVANCE CONTRACT AWARD NOTICE (ACAN)

The Department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has a requirement to continue the development, maintenance and enhancement of the Electric Charging and Alternative Fuelling Station Locator, including the data administration tool and supporting database. This initiative will continue to support the acceleration of the deployment of advanced vehicle technologies and make progress towards Canada’s energy and climate goals.

The scope of work includes the following components:

1. Continue development, maintenance and enhancements of the Electric Charging and Alternative Fuelling Station Locator
2. Continue to support and maintain National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s (NREL’s) integrated US/Canadian database for electric charging and alternative fuels information/data to provide North American information.
3. Continue to support and enhance the applications programming interface (API) to enable fleets and individuals to access and download North American alternative fuels data.
4. Continue to support, maintain and enhance capabilities for regular automated updates of EV network station data through EV network API
5. Continue to provide support for the tools and activities of the data gathering contractor
6. Provide application server and database services to facilitate the proper functioning of Canada’s on-line alternative fuels station locator
7. Provide annual maintenance and administration services for a period of five (5) years in support of Canada’s on-line alternative fuels station locator
8. Provide Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) with:

• Access to alternative fuels stations locator for Canada that will enable the Department to incorporate an internet frame on NRCan’s website.
• The ability to access and download Canadian alternative fuels raw data for Departmental use
• Training and support services to enable the Department’s data gathering contractor to effectively upload and update Canadian alternative fuels data.
