Description
The Public Health Agency of Canada is seeking expert advice regarding the resources needed to operate a national three-digit suicide prevention line.
As an initial step in implementing a national three-digit suicide prevention line, the Public Health Agency is seeking reliable and accurate volumes projections as a basis for costing the resources required for implementation and for understanding the potential impact on other crisis line services across Canada.
The specific objectives of this contract are:
a) To identify factors that may influence interaction volumes of a national three-digit suicide prevention line;
b) To formulate an appropriate projection methodology, taking into account the factors identified in a) above;
c) To produce volumes projections for the next five (5) calendar years of the interactions that would be experienced by a national three-digit 24/7 bilingual suicide prevention line, broken down by interaction modality: voice and text.
These services would be required for approximately 10 weeks.
