    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No
    Nature of Requirements:
Requirement: To supply a mini excavator and its components. The
contract includes supplying the excavator and its components,
technical documentation, delivery, and training at Environment
Canada, Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area, 570 Chemin du Cap
    Tourmente, Saint-Joachim, Quebec.

Background: The mini excavator falls under the category of mini
shovels for use in confined areas that can operate on
6-foot-wide hiking trails. This mini excavator must have a
diesel engine with three or more cylinders that complies with
environmental emissions standards. This excavator must be
designed to operate off-road in wetlands and on difficult or
rough terrain. It will be used mainly for work on hiking trails.
The main work will involve levelling and reshaping trails,

drainage, removing debris such as stones and branches along the
sides of hiking trails, and excavations close to buildings. This

obstacles in forest areas. In addition, the excavator must have
rubber tracks to avoid damaging infrastructure such as the
bridges and walkways on the hiking trails in the Cap Tourmente
National Wildlife Area. This mini excavator can also be moved to

hydraulic clamp (thumb) to firmly grab and move various objects.
Lastly, the excavator must be equipped with a double-flight
auger for the installation of sonotubes for signage projects in
    the network of protected areas.
