     			                 PORTABLE SHELTER

    (DRDC) Suffield, Ralston, Alberta. 	
    	
    
    Requirement:
    
    For the purchase and delivery of one (1) Self-Contained,
    Relocatable Container/Shelter to the Department of National
    Defence, Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC)
    Suffield, Ralston, Alberta. 
    
    The shelter must able to withstand the high winds on an open
    prairie.  This is required in support of approximately 2000
    personnel trained at Counter Terrorism Technology Centre (CTTC)
    Suffield annually. The tent is used to decontaminate staff and
    trainees that are exiting a training zone.
    
    This requirement is to support all training at CTTC, DRDC
    Suffield, which is critical to improving operational
    effectiveness of Canadian Forces, domestic first responders, and
    allied specialist units.
    
    The shelter is required to provide a location that can be used
    in inclement weather for the decontamination of personnel from
    the radiation training area at the Cameron Centre at DRDC
    Suffield. It cannot be a permanent facility due to the
    construction restrictions currently in place for the Cameron
    Centre.  It needs to be a shelter that can be moved and that
    will withstand sustained winds up to 90 kph.
