    Requirement:
    To provide Long Term Elevating Device maintenance service. The
    Contractor must provide all necessary tools, equipment,
    materials, labours, inspection, testing, software updates and/or
    upgrades. The elevators to be maintained are four (4) traction
    passenger elevators; and, one (1) hydraulic freight elevator.
    The service must be provided in accordance with Annex A -
    Statement of Work.
    
    For Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) for the
    elevators located at RCMP "K" Division Headquarters, 11140 - 109
    Street, Edmonton, AB, T5G 2T4.
    
    The period of any resulting contract will be for a period of ten
    (10) years with Canada retaining an irrevocable option to extend
    the contract for three (3) additional five (5) year periods
    under the same conditions.
    
    It is anticipated that the work from the resulting contract will
    start on September 1, 2014.
    
    Only bids from contractors whose name is on the applicable Lists
    of Pre-qualified Elevator Maintenance Contractors for the
    province or territory where the work is performed, for the type
    of equipment listed herein will be considered for this
    solicitation.
    
    Optional Site Visit:
    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
    Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a
    tour of the work site. The site visit will be held on July 15,
    2014 at 1000 hours (MDT) at RCMP "K" Division Headquarters,
    11140 109 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta.
    
    Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting
    Authority two (2) days before the scheduled visit to confirm
    attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will
    attend.  Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. 
    Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be
    given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded
    from submitting a bid.  Any clarifications or changes to the bid
    solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
    an amendment to the bid solicitation.
    
    Prior to admittance to the site visit, all attendees will be
    subject to law enforcement verification by the RCMP. The RCMP
    reserves the right to deny access to any facility / site or part
    thereof to any Contractor personnel, at any time.

    Bidders must provide a list of names, or other related
    information as needed, pursuant to section 01 of Standard
    Instructions 2003.
    
    For services requirements, Bidders in receipt of a pension or a
    lump sum payment must provide the required information as
    detailed in article 3 of Part 2 of the bid solicitation.
    
    The requirement is subject to the provisions of the (insert the
    appropriate trade agreement ie World Trade Organization
    Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the North
    American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Agreement on Internal
    Trade (AIT).
    
    There is a Federal Contractors Program (FCP) for employment
    equity requirement associated with this procurement; see Part 5
    - Certifications, Part 7 - Resulting Contract Clauses and the
    annex named Federal Contractors Program for Employment Equity -
    Certification.
    
    Bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid
    solicitation process. Bidders should make the request to the
    Contracting Authority within 15 working days of receipt of the
    results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be
    in writing, by telephone or in person.
