1.  TITLE: 

REGIONAL INDIVIDUAL STANDING OFFER - RENTAL OF HIGHWAY TRAILERS

2.  SECURITY:

There is no security requirement associated with the requirement.

3.  REQUIREMENT:

The Department of National Defence in Alberta has a requirement for a Regional Individual Standing Offer (RISO) for the provision of all labour, transportation, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to provide the rental of various highway trailers on an "as and when requested" basis, in accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein. Specifically, these delivery locations include Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Edmonton, Cold Lake, Wainwright, Suffield and Calgary. Trailers may be used to transport equipment to points in Canada or the United States. As the rental units may be driven throughout Canada and into the United States, all rental units must be licensed accordingly.  

To qualify a bid will have to consist of no less than 80% of goods and/or services of Canadian origin. 

4. EVALUATION AND SELECTION:  

Bidders must have the ability to perform the full scope of the work described in Annex "A" - Statement of Work.

An offer must comply with the requirements of the Request for Standing Offers and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to be declared responsive. The responsive offer with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for issuance of a standing offer.

5. PERIOD OF STANDING OFFER: 

It is anticipated that any standing offer will be effective for a period of two (2) years with the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Standing Offer by up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods under the same conditions.
