PROJECT IDENTIFICATION:  
Project No R.011946.107, National Press Building - Mechanical
Chase Platforms 
Building Address: 150 Wellington, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0S5.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 
The purpose of this project is to construct fifteen access
platforms (7 in the East shaft and 8 in the West shaft) to
ensure safe horizontal travel within each of the two mechanical
shafts at the National Press Building.  The new platforms will
typically be constructed of steel tubing and angles, with steel
grating, and will be anchored to the edges of the existing floor
slab and masonry wall.

Work is to be completed within sixteen (16) weeks after contract
award. The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the
following category: $100,000.00 to $250,000.00.  

MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT:  
This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement.  At
bid closing, the Bidder must hold a valid Designated
Organization Screening (DOS) issued by Canadian industrial
Security Directorate (CISD) of Public Works and Government
Services Canada (PWGSC). Failure to comply with this requirement
will render the Bid non-compliant and no further consideration
will be given to the Bid. 

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:  
There will be a site visit on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 9h00 am.
Interested bidders are to meet at the Main Entrance of the Booth
Building (165 Sparks Street in Ottawa).

Safety Attire: Hard hat and boots are not required but always
recommended.
