    PROJECT IDENTIFICATION:    
    R.066184.001 - Podium Slab Repair
    Blackburn Building, 85 Sparks Street, Ottawa, Ontario
    
    Project description:  Blackburn Building is located on Sparks Street with several operating retail spaces on the ground floor and the main Blackburn Building office entry. This project involves, in part, exterior podium slab repair and waterproofing. The exterior portion of this project involves removing stamped concrete, pavers, bedding and digging down the front face of the podium wall. The interior portion of this project involves rust proofing of steel beams and replacement of acoustic tiles and wall refinishing in the basement floor.
    
    Work is to be completed within Twenty-Three (23) weeks after contract award. 
    
    
    MANDATORYSECURITY REQUIREMENT:  
     
    This procurement contains a mandatory security requirement.  The Bidder must hold a valid Facility Security Clearance at the level of SECRET.  
    
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:  
    
    There will be a site visit on Tuesday May 10, 2016at 10am.  Interested bidders shall meet at the front of the Blackburn building 85 Sparks Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
    
    Due to the nature of the requirement and in order to gain access to the building, all bidders must submit the name (legal name) and dateof birth of each individual that will be attending the site visit. 
    This information is to be submitted to the Contracting Authority by email at the following email address: jasmin.michaud@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca no later than May 6th, 2016 at 12PM (Noon). 
    
    You will only be advised if a name is provided and CANNOT access the site visit, if no response is sent back to you, it confirms that the individual has the proper clearance to participate. 
    It is the responsibility of the bidders to ensure that the Contracting Authority is in receipt of this information by the date and time specified. All contractor personnel/individuals that bidders plan on sending to attend the site visit must be cleared prior to attending. No personnel/individuals will be permitted to access the site without the required clearance.
