Since these information sessions, the plan to contract for the project has changed and updates to the plan have appeared on MERX and on Buy and Sell Canada. Below is an updated list of the existing and upcoming contracts for the project, as well as information about conflicts of interest with respect to contracting with the Government of Canada. This information is provided to further guide your decision-making, should you wish to bid on the procurement opportunities associated with the Giant Mine project in Yellowknife. Further information about the remediation project may be found online. http://www.aadnc-aandc.gc.ca/eng/1100100027364/1100100027365 Updates to the Giant Mine procurement outlook include: · interim contracts, to support care and maintenance of the site and activities outlined in the Site Stabilization Plan (http://www.aadnc-aandc.gc.ca/eng/1340819215801/1340829245644), prior to full remediation, anticipated in 2018. These contracts are not in support of the project definition or implementation phases of the project, so will not be in place during full remediation; · long-term contracts that will continue throughout the project definition phase (anticipated to end in 2018), with an option to extend the contract into or to the end of full remediation; · contracts to be awarded in support of the regulatory and licensing processes; and · contracts awarded and to be issued by Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC). All contracts listed here have been, or will be, tendered competitively, unless otherwise stated. Delivery Date: Above-mentioned The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
