Lumber

Public Service and Procurement Canada (Halifax), on behalf the Department of National Defence, Base Logistics (Halifax), has a requirement for a Regional Individual Standing Offer for the supply of heat treated and non-heat treated lumber for a three (3) year period, with a one (1) year option period, on an as and when requested basis.  The Packaging and Preservation Unit at Base Logistics is a Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) certified wood packaging producer under the Canadian Wood Packaging Certification Program (CWPCP).  Heat Treated lumber is used in the manufacture of crating, pallets, and various boxes and shipping containers on behalf of DND when exporting supplies to foreign countries.  Delivery destination for wood products is within Halifax Regional Municipality in Nova Scotia.

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
