Nature of Requirements: 

Health Canada requirement for the purchase and installation of x-ray shielding in an existing room at their Radiation Protection Building in Ottawa, ON.  The successful bidder will be responsible for the provision and installation of a fixed protective panel, a sliding protective panel (which will serve as an access door to laboratory x-ray equipment), shielding material for interior walls and a mobile workbench; provide all necessary hardware for safe and secure mounting of panels; interior walls mustbe finished to match existing walls.

Mandatory Site Visit
It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the Biddervisit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at Health Canada, Radiation Protection Building,775 Brookfield Road, Ottawa Ontario on 25 July 2016. The site visit will begin at 14:00 EDT, in the main lobby.

Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than 14:00 EDT on 21 July 2016 to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders should confirm in their bid that they have attended the site visit. Bidders who do not attend the mandatory site visit or do not send a representative willnot be given an alternative appointment and their bid will be declared non-responsive. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation
