REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)
TITLE: Document Reader with Document Authentication Software Solution

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has a requirement for the supply and delivery of Document Reader with Document Authentication Software Solution that will be used at border crossings and inland CBSA offices in Canada. These Document Readers with Document Authentication Software Solutions must include a one year warranty and provisions to order quantities of Document Readers with Document Authentication Software and additional years of maintenance and support service.

The CBSA currently has Document Readers with Document Authentication Software installed in ports of entry (POE) across Canada. These devices are necessary for Border Service Officers (BSOs) to operate ports of entry safely and efficiently. A combination of factors justifies the procurement of a Document Reader with Document Authentication Software Solution equipment:

- Support current Primary Inspection Line (PIL) operation;
- Support future Primary Inspection Line (PIL) operation expansion; and
- Current equipment is reaching end of life.

The intent is to award one Contract commencing upon Contract award date for a period of two (2) years with an irrevocable option on the part of Canada to extend the period of any resulting Contract by up to five (5) one (1) year periods under the same terms and conditions.
