Samples
Samples are a mandatory requirement.  A sample of each filter
proposed by bidding companies must be sent to:

at the bidder's expense on or before the closing date of this
Request for Proposal.  In addition, the request for proposal
number, closing date and the nato stock number 4130-121-860-3124
must appear on the outside of the package.  Samples are required
for a physical evaluation.  Failure to comply with mandatory
criteria will render the bid non-responsive.  The sample must
be supplied, prepared, packaged and shipped at the bidder's
expense.  Proposed filter samples will have to be identified
with the manufacturer's name and associated part number.  Each
filter proposed under this "Request for Proposal" will have to
pass the physical evaluation in order to be accepted as a
contender for the winning bid.  No substitute product and part
Number will be allowed for vendors whose filters pass the
physical evaluation. The filter sample from the winning bidder
will be kept by The Department of National Defence (DND) for
future reference and will not form part of the requested
quantity in any possible follow-on contract.  In addition, this
bidder will not be reimbursed for their fully compliant sample.
