The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) in Boucherville specializes in delivering value-added engineering and testing services to the spectrum of transportation industry.  One of its specialty is thermal and cold spray coatings.  

One of the processes used currently by NRC mixes combustible gases to deposit coatings on parts by means of a flame.  NRC now wishes to acquire a Thermal Spray Torch system that uses propylene mixed with air using the process called ID-HVAF (Internal Diameter High Velocity Air Fuel) to make carbide coatings WCCo.  The system will be installed in a fixed HVOF thermal spray chamber.

The scope of work includes the provision of a system that must include: a torch, a propylene evaporator, a liquid propylene pump as well as a powder feeder. 

Please refer to the Request for Proposals (RFP) for all the details relating to the requirement.  Bids will be assessed in accordance with the entire requirement of the RFP including the technical and financial evaluation criteria.

A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation and meet all mandatory technical criteria to be declared responsive.  The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award.

A bid may be submitted in either official language of Canada.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC)provides services in both official languages of Canada.
