Amendment 001 is being raised to modify the solicitation closing
date from 2013-10-15 (02:00 PM EDT) to 2013-10-18 (02:00 PM EDT).

The Human Health Therapeutics portfolio (HHT) within the
National Research Council of Canada (NRC) Montreal-Royalmount
wishes to purchase an automated differential scanning
calorimeter for measuring the heat capacity, and unfolding
enthalpies of proteins in solution.  This instrument will be
used within the Biophysical Characterization Facility as part of
a panel of medium to high-throughput biophysical techniques to
be used on both internal biotherapeutic development projects,
and as a service to industrial collaborators for the
characterization of biotherapeutic molecules. Differential
scanning calorimetry (DSC) will be used for thermal stability
analysis of initial candidate biotherapeutics, for formulation
scouting of leads, as well as part of a quality control of
recombinant protein produced within the HHT portfolio. 

The requirement consists of supply, delivery, on-site
installation of the system, and on-site training on equipment
use at the NRC Montreal-Royalmount.

All of the specifications are detailed in Annex A - Requirement
of the Request for Proposal (RFP).

Delivery: Delivery is requested for October 31st, 2013, if
possible.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
