Nature of Requirements: 
The Boucherville site of NRC Automotive and Surface
Transportation (AST) would like to extend its activities in
thermal spray to laser assisted spraying in view of potential
transfer of the technology to Canadian enterprises involved in
the automotive sector.

Within this mandate the Boucherville site of AST wants to
acquire a near infrared 4 kW continuous laser system.

The work scope involves the laser system supply, delivery and
installation on the Boucherville site as well as training on the
operation of the system. This work must be completed on or
before March 31st 2015.

Constraints 

The system must be installed on the roof of the plasma spray
booth shown in Figure 1. (See RFP document) The system
dimensions should not exceed (75 in. high X 50 in. long X 50 in.
Large).

- Many other mandatory technical specifications are required
with the laser system.

- It is the responsibility of the supplier to include all
necessary documents to demonstrate that the proposed system
meets the specifications. The supplier must not only respond yes
or requirement met.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
